Create an array of 100 input samples in the range 1 to 100 using the linspace function, and plot…

a) (Plot your result on Figure 1) Plot the function ?(? = (???????

??? using 200 points over the

range -2 = x = 8. Note that there is an asymptote at x = 3, so the function will tent to

infinitely near to that point. In order to see the rest of the plot properly, you will need to

limit the y-axis to a reasonable size, so use the axis command to limit the y-axis to the

range -10 to 10.

b) (Plot your result on Figure 2, subplot of 2 rows 1 column) Create an array of 100 input

samples in the range 1 to 100 using the linspace function and plot the equation

(?2?(???? 20) = ?)?

on a semi-log plot. Draw a solid blue line of width 2, and label each point with a red

circle (upper subplot). Now create an array of 100 input samples in the range 1 to 100

using logspace function, and plot the above equation on a semi-log plot. Draw a

solid red line of width 2, and label each point with a black star (lower subplot). Observe

the spacing of the points on the plot compare when using linspace and logspace.
